Melissa’s  March

Melissa, a woman of the 70’s, a feminist who in the tradition of strong women who went before her, marched to find equal rights for women. Melissa was an activist during the volatile years of the Vietnam war.  Melissa fought for for justice and equality.  She fought for civil rights and end to Jim Crowe laws.  She continued her great grandmother Sara’s fight for equality for women.  She persisted as she marched to protect the vulnerable and followed her mantra, “it’s just not fair.”
