How many books are in the series?

The series “Daughter’s of Evolution” consists of four books.   It is the story of the evolution of women from a day when they had no voice and were the property of their fathers and eventually their husbands through the current date where women still are fighting for justice and equality.  Women have come a long way but there is still work to be done.

The first book “Sara’s Sacrifice” begins the journey with the suffragette fight for the vote and having their voice heard.

Book two in the series, “Ella Endures” depicts the struggles and perseverance of women as they navigate the Greatest Generation.  It was a time where women found it necessary to move in to men’s roles particularly as men went to war.

“Melissa’s March” takes us back to the protest movements of the 60’s and 70’s, reminiscent of  the suffragette time when women rallied for their cause. This time it was for justice and equality in civil rights, women’s rights, and the injustices of the Vietnam War and political corruption.

The series will end with “Vanna’s Voice” which covers the more recent history from the bombing of the twin towers in New York to the insurrection at the US Capital building of Jan 6, 2020. It also gives a theoretic look at what the future holds.

The characters are generations of daughters whose status evolved as they let their voices be heard and history shaped.  Pne hundred years of history through five generations of strong women.

“Sara’s Sacrifice” is available in bookstores now in paperback and hardcopy as well as digital. It currently has sold in ten countries.  “Ella Endures” is also available any place books are sold in book form and digital formats.   Melissa’s March   will be released in 2023.  “Vanna’s Voice”  will likely be available late in 2023.

Sara is a huge Success

“Sara’s Sacrifice’ was released in October 2019 and  has sold in ten countries: U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Australia, New Zeeland and India. It is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble and almost anyplace books are sold.  It is also available in digital format

“Ella Endures” was released in December of 2021.  It also has met with great success.  It is now available in six countries: U.S., Canada, Great Britain, India and Australia and South Africa. It also can be found at Amazon as well as all book stores in book form or digital.

“Melissa’s March” is currently at the publishers but no release date has been set.  I hope to have fourth and final book in the series out by end of 2023.

How is success measured?  For me it is the number of people who ask when the next book will be out.  It is also a mark of success when  Neville Public Museum requested it to be sold in their gift shop. It was also an indicator when the public library stocked not just one but two books.  It made me happy when the book was always on wait list. It is also a joy to have educators ask for participation in there history classes and class projects.  It is important to me to get the history right and I spend a great deal of research to insure its accuracy.  The fact that I write historic fiction is a plus since it brings history to life and makes it more relateable.
